audi s5 v8 timing chain problems

Front ¾ vehicle photos © 1986-2018 Autodata, Inc. dba Chrome Data. Audi was forced to offer settlement offers, including an extended warranty, after a series of lawsuits were filed. No way will I stick to this.

cheers, I'm feeling that way too. Note: You can find out which VW vehicles are involved in the settlement over at VWProblems.com.

My routine maintenance items only involve checking for paint chips, tyre pressure, cleaning etc. Consumer Reports reckons the 2014 model year is the most reliable, scoring 5/5. Not nearly serious enough to junk the car IMO. It's hard to make any gearbox or transmission last 150,000 without a lubrication change. You can't blame the user for not doing twice as many services.

Audi timing chain lawsuit alleges engines fail because the chains 'jump a tooth' in the camshaft. This car could reach 60 mph in just 4.8 seconds and go through the quarter mile in 13.4 seconds at 105 mph. Congrats on the purchase. We're here to keep your vehicle safe & reliable. All other work was preventative maintenance completed here in Alaska. Just curious if anyone over 100k has ran into any issues.

Audi pulled out all the stops trying to move weight closer to the middle of the car. The complaints are organized into groups with data published by vehicle, vehicle component, and specific problem. On this premise, it seems the extended intervals of some manufacturers may be for customer convenience & marketing benefits (a "free"/prepaid maintenance plan is certainly more economic with extended intervals rather than every 5000km!)

If I had your S5 I'd be using only 98.

I know those aren't subject to stretching and deterioration like belts, but it's my understanding that they do wear and deform a bit as they age.
