Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash. Bicycles are permitted on most of the paths as well as dogs & horses. The Perimeter Trail is the one that primarily follows the contours of the reservoir and I would rate that as easy.

This park - which encompasses 1,204 acres of land and water - surrounds the four-billion-gallon Manasquan Reservoir, completed in 1990. There were a total of about 40 people there and I witnessed about 10 fish or so being pulled up during the 2.5 hours we were there. Kayak and boat rentals and a pontoon boat tour. There were a few vending machines near the visitor's center, though I am not sure if there is any other food available there. I never really got the hang of it but I've pulled out a few very large bass.You have to wear life jackets and when the rangers patrol (with their outboard boats) they will remind you to put them on, 93° not withstanding. If you walk  or jog the trail every other day you are sure to lose weight!!! From pottery classes to nature walks, programs and activities are a great way to meet people and explore new interests.
