These “lights”, literally, surround the town.

It was in the winter. I was camping in Lee Vining, CA last night, July 26, 2020.

Yes, it looks like a star, but not near as high up and it looks almost like a winged object that goes back and forth and zigzags. I have never seen anything like this before and I am on old camper. I watched it for a bit and it began to love in an erratic non-pattern. By the way, they are silent. I didn’t see it shoot off in any direction or see it go anywhere. Reveals Disk Type Object. These particular moving ‘stars’ are always in the same area. This thing makes me imagine some kind of space station that somehow stays in orbit without circling the earth, just stationary, moving here and there at seemingly random intervals for reasons I cannot begin to imagine. Satellites don't move like this. The night sky was super clear and the stars were bright so I was just looking up checking them all out. But it can obviously see us trying to communicate!! Tonight, a few minutes ago, I saw a bright star-like object fidgeting around in the night sky. My friend and I used to star gaze at night around 10 to 11 PM on his patio. https://curiosity.com/topics/the-autokinetic-effect-is-an-optical-illusion-that-makes-stars-look-like-ufos-curiosity/.

My partner and I were out on beach in car and I had saw it for the second time at this point, I pointed it out to her and it took her a few minutes (because it was staying still, but kept telling her it will move just watch). I pointed it out to other people and they have seen it too. I agree many of you say they move within a small space, like they are trapped in a bubble. Frankly, if an astronomer has a reasonable explanation that fits the observed phenomena, I’ll accept it without rancor or even disappointment.

It would stop for a few minutes, move a few inches over (from my perspective), stop fast and then move again. One is facing the southeast and the other to the southwest. It also kind of feels like I maybe have to focus A certain way, like what you do to see the hidden image/object in those 3D illusion posters. I've been seeing dozens of these things over the past two nights and once about 2 weeks ago. I have seen something similar to this up in the north woods of Wisconsin. I also believe it took a picture, or, the only way I can explain it, and believe, it’s aware of my presence and reacts to flashlight. I live in the Poconos and this very same phenomena is happening here ALL the times. What can start and stop like that? Why is this not on the news. i don't know what it was, can't figure it out, but im glad i found your description. It’s not from Earth that’s for sure. I live in Vancouver WA. Tuesday, May 29, 2012. I was in the “country” (vast rural area) and could see much more than I normally would in city limits. We visited an observatory and I asked what they might be, but was brushed off.

star moving erratically

At night, with a full mo... Tonight, a few minutes ago, I saw a bright star-like object fidgeting around in the night sky. I was looking up at the stars just talking. My girlfriend noticed it as well. I was thinking it stopped when my eyes would focus then it would start back. Probably you’re all experiencing an optical illusion called the AutoKinetic Effect (https://curiosity.com/topics/the-autokinetic-effect-is-an-optical-illusion-that-makes-stars-look-like-ufos-curiosity/). Nickel Colored Circular Craft With Red, Blue & Amber Lights. My husband and daughter saw it tonight and called me about it.

It seems like I have to either be staring at the same stars for awhile before it starts happening (1 of them moves erratically). I worry in case they are aliens and might zap me! Description: The size was about the same as the stars the shape and color were like that of a star, but flickered different colors blue orange and the movement was erratic. I am in central New Jersey and have this exact phenomenon going on.

So, it isn’t a trick of the eyes. It may have lasted longer, but I went inside my tent. Your not alone. But, Im curious as to what the heck it is. Like a person said you have to look up and focus on a star and after a while the star to move. I really thought it could have been a plane at first. The sky was clear with no clouds.
This star that I saw was literally white. Lensing and Shuttering displays photos I've taken, primarily of the Peoria and Central Illinois area. So far, haven’t seen an explanation that fits the bill, although I have found numerous other accounts of apparently similar phenomena. I did also manage to get a picture and a quick video (not the greatest) before it was gone. It didn’t stand out and then I saw it spinning around in circles fast then it stopped and would spin the other way. It has &... Peoria Police Department's innovative "Armadillo II" Nuisance Abatement Vehicle. There were ten of them. There were 5 or 6, but during this time nothing more happened so I decided to continue and I’m still asking myself what was that? When I first saw it and it was just still in the sky it was not really blinking or anything. It shot up, down, and side to side at angles about 4 times then just like a halogen light it flickered off and completely disappeared. He said do you see this s**t? Are they UFO’s, air force maneuvers, maybe even drones?
