the guardsman adelaide review

The rich, creamy white wine sauce has some celery and onion, parsley for freshness and a hint of ocean jus from the plump bivalves. So, enjoyable burger consumed and back to the bar to order dessert....but oh sorry they say, kitchen closed at 9pm! Meals were incredible, I actually couldn't fault anything about this place. This place is not 5 star and certainly not 1 star, it's a place you can get dressed up and catch up with friends and enjoy a nice night out together and it's a place you can take the whole family including the kids - if you really need to.More, Lot to say.

Topped with a generous garnish of saffron threads, it’s richly spiced without being overly spicy. Clean and well presented venue. Relaxing and a great place if you have...to wait for your next train to depart.More.

What a...treasure the city of Adelaide has here.More. food. What a pity the critique from here goes down hill..... Fortunately, the garam combines harmoniously with the lamb, which still has just enough fat to be succulent, and the texture is superb. It wasn’t charged tho....but then, both burgers arrived with hand cut chips. However wanted to try it again, and I'm glad I did I was completely turned around by service and...food.

No waiter for ordering. So at least she was fast to rectify that issue. Given the speed of which they came out I can only assume that the kitchen has prepared the meat earlier on and had been sitting under lights being kept warm, even the cheese was semi melted on the bun For the cost of $20 I at least expected that they could have provided a piece of cooked at the time of the order edible steak. Found this place by accident, was initially reluctant to take 4 kids (12, 11, 10 & 8) in as it appears very bar like..but the staff were amazing, super friendly and helpful. There was some sort of rose-like powder on the meringue shards that tasted just like eating perfume and most of the advertised ingredients seemed absent from the dish ....rose is hardly complementary to the supposed fruchoc flavour of the dessert. Well done Adelaide Casino for bringing the Grand Public Dining Hall back to life. more, Reservations, Seating, Serves Alcohol, Table Service, Adelaide Metro Free City Connector Bus and Tram.

!More, With COVID-19 we were limited to an hour and quarter but didn’t feel rushed at all. Food delivery-yes. So clearly reservations stand for zilch! I’ve had 2 lunch experiences there and on each occasion ive been really happy with the food, the service and the fabulous toilets!

The music was stupidly loud and imposing - a mixture of Australian Rock and ABBA that would have been better suited to a wedding dance floor around midnight once everyone’s drunk!! more, Reservations, Seating, Serves Alcohol, Table Service, Adelaide Metro Free City Connector Bus and Tram. Even so, I’m a little surprised when the shoulder of lamb arrives in a balti dish with a mild curry gravy. We were given one menu - for two people!?!

ordered a couple of drinks, barely had I had the time to sit down and the steak sandwiches arrived, rapid service which is not a good sign, we got a hotdog roll with a dab of caramelised onion, lettuce tomato and a tepid piece of grisly meat of which I could not eat, a mass of shoestring chip and some sauce.

This place is LOUD. The prices are very reasonable, they use local produce and wine and you can catch a train there...and home... if you live near a train line.More, Have dropped in numerous times for a casual drink whilst waiting for the train, this time we opted to have a meal We were given one menu - for two people!?!

It’s like beer hall!

Why on earth were we not told that when we were seated, at the same time as the 90 minute discussion????? The music was stupidly loud and imposing - a mixture of Australian Rock and ABBA that would have been better suited to a wedding dance floor around midnight once everyone’s drunk!! of a great party place. It was delicious and reasonably priced.

We called in the about 4.00pm for a drink, loved what they have done in the old dining room there. We had an 830pm booking.

However wanted to try it again, and I'm glad I did I was completely turned around by service and...food.

We ordered one of our burgers with hand cut chips instead of fries. No waiter for ordering. The waitress when picking up the plates asked how it was, terrible grisly warm meat I said ,she did say I should have said something but I am of the opinion if you can't serve up decent food the first time around, pointless asking for anything else This place is LOUD. Clean and well presented venue.

These, together with the plain couscous topped with pomegranate seeds and almond flakes, place this dish somewhere between India and the Middle East. I loved the variety of drinks available . So I put down my first experience as a learning one so allowed my first experience not to influence attending again.

Good one. Eyre Peninsula seafood is particularly well represented, and on a cold night I can’t go past the Kinkawooka mussels. Get quick answers from The Guardsman staff and past visitors.

North Terrace Adelaide Railway Station, Adelaide, South Australia 5000 Australia. Staff were friendly and helpful. Needless to say will not be eating there again but will still drop in for The Good. The server did however go away and get a pot of fries when we mentioned the error, not that we needed any more potato!!!! The remaining elements are a looser approximation – an upper layer of vanilla custard and peach is more trifle than Fruchoc – but the decadent chocolate mousse beneath is dense without being overly sweet and complements the apricot base perfectly.

of a great party place.

Found this place by accident, was initially reluctant to take 4 kids (12, 11, 10 & 8) in as it appears very bar like..but the staff were amazing, super friendly and helpful. As I finish, the adjacent concourse starts to fill up with dejected Crows fans getting ready to depart as one.
